Our why
Enerchy is built around what Francis saw was missing.
For most of the last 25 years, Francis Jackson worked on the supply side of the energy transition. The problem he kept running into was the slow speed at which the system around it was learning to share value: between developers and customers, between the grid and the people connected to it, between assets in the field and the markets that could pay for what they could do.
Enerchy is built around what he saw was missing. A platform that lets households, businesses, network operators and traders make their own choices, make the most of their assets and harness the hidden shared value in the system.
Francis holds an Executive MBA from UCT GSB; and a BASc Mechanical Engineering from University of Toronto, majoring in Advanced Power Systems. Earlier roles include establishing African operations of Windlab, Investment Principal at AIIM (Old Mutual), GreenCape (Project Executive: Atlantis Special Economic Zone, establishing the Mpumalanga Green Cluster Agency, project managing SAREM), and coordinating the business interface with the National Energy Crisis Committee (NECOM) through the Energy Council of South Africa.
